OMAHA, Neb. March 11, 2019 - First National Bank of Omaha is investing in the future of agriculture by supporting FFA with donations in Nebraska, Colorado, Illinois and South Dakota, announced Tom Jensen, Sr. Vice President, Correspondent and Agribusiness Banking. First National Bank’s contribution is part of its broader efforts to celebrate National Agriculture Week and will help provide positive educational experiences for the students enrolled in agricultural education across the region. First National Bank and its affiliates are among the largest Agribusiness lenders in the country.
“We’re proud to support the agriculture industry and join in FFA's mission of developing premier leadership, personal growth and career success for the next generation of farmers,” added Jensen.
In Nebraska, First National Bank is sponsoring the Nebraska FFA Launch! Program for the second year with a $10,000 donation. The funds will support the year-long program that serves as a catalyst in entrepreneurship-based education for Nebraska FFA members and agricultural education students. In addition, First National Bank is donating a total of $4,800 to local FFA chapters across Nebraska.
In Colorado, First National Bank is supporting the Colorado FFA Foundation with a $2,500 donation.
In Illinois, First National Bank is donating a total of $2,500 to eight local FFA chapters: DeKalb, Harvard, Hinckley-Big Rock, Indian Creek, Newark, Rochelle, Somonauk Leland Sandwich and Sycamore.
In South Dakota, First National Bank is donating a total of $1,500 to nine local FFA chapters: Yankton, Mitchell, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket, Wessington Springs, Huron, Hitchcock-Tulare, Bon Homme, Wolsey-Wessington and Scotland.
