I was born—and raised Royal—in Kansas City, Missouri. Surrounded by supportive and influential family and friends, life in the “Show Me State” helped form my values and drivers, particularly around relationships. I grew to believe in the power of a smile, a helping hand, genuine compliment—and really good BBQ.
When I packed my car in the spring of 2002, headed due north, I was ready for adventure and even a little risk. At that moment, I never could have or would have imaged how much that decision would change my life.
Omaha is now my home. It is where my husband and I are instilling our values with our son. This great city of Omaha is where we enjoy amazing friends and celebrate our milestones. It is where we work to make a real difference in our community. We love Omaha, but could someone help me find some quality BBQ?
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management from Bellevue University. I am a proud graduate of Leadership Omaha Class 40–arguably the best class ever.
At First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), I proudly lead our Emerging Professionals and Collegiate Recruiting programs.
Why Did You Choose FNBO?
When it comes to your career, finding the perfect job isn’t easy. It’s about the work, the company, the people and the impact. When I said ‘yes’ to the Bank in 2011, I knew I had found it all. I saw an opportunity to do more, not just in challenging myself but with enhancing FNBO as a whole.
The role was dynamic and impactful. With every posted role, I met new and wonderful people ready to share their stories with me. I met women who overcame every obstacle to be the first in her family to earn a degree. I met men doing everything they could to support a family. And I celebrated with each of them as they started their careers at FNBO. While it‘s their talents that truly land the job, I am moved and so appreciative for the opportunity to help others find their passion at FNBO. One of my favorite things is sharing in others’ milestones; sharing the excitement of engagements, weddings and starting their families. #fillsmybucket
Now, many years later I, still believe I have the best role in the Bank!
I love game shows! So much so I was on Wheel of Fortune—sadly I didn’t win a fortune. While I excelled at wheel training, I picked ‘C’ when I should have picked ‘K.’ Rather than dwell on it, I have focused my energy on preparing for Price is Right! I practice nearly every weekend with dedicated shopping trips and bargain hunting.
People are my passion! I am energized by relationships. I am fulfilled know I made a real human impact.
At home, my husband, son and I love creating seasonal bucket lists, outlining our adventures traveling or spending time at home with our loyal chocolate lab.
