As Lead Director for Commercial Banking, Mike appreciates the opportunity he has to help small-to-medium enterprises succeed in their business endeavors. He prides himself on being more than “just a banker” and enjoys learning his client’s stories and pain points before developing treasury solutions and assisting with their capital needs.
Mike has fifteen years of experience in finance and banking, beginning in 2003 as an intern with Merrill Lynch. He joined First National Bank as a relationship manager in 2004. Mike has a Bachelor of Science in Finance, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Corporate Ventures, graduating with honors from DePaul University.
Mike takes his professional passion for helping businesses succeed into his personal life. He volunteers as the Vice President of the Fox Valley Entrepreneurship Center where he helps new and existing businesses achieve greater success by developing effective business strategies to support corporate innovation. In his free time, he enjoys running.
Supporting entrepreneurs is a passion that I take seriously. I’ve gained a profound respect for the non-financial risks and responsibilities my clients face every day. Though I’m focused on financial performance, I'm equally as interested in the story of your business and your vision for the future.
