Mike is a Vice President Commercial Banking Manager at First National Bank. He manages a team of lenders in Weld County who handle a variety of lending, treasury management and wealth services needs for commercial customers. He enjoys helping his clients solve business challenges and establishing long-term relationships through dedicated service.
Mike started out in a small community bank where he held many positions and learned the foundational skills for his career. In 1992, he joined First National Bank as a commercial Lender. Over the years, he has held various senior management positions, including Senior Credit Officer, Market President, and Commercial Market Manager. He attended Colorado State University where he earned a Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate. Mike also attended The Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Mike is community minded and spends much of his time serving on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including Northern Colorado Junior Achievement and Centennial Rotary Club. He is also a member of the North Colorado Medical Center Foundation Corporate Fundraising committee.
When not volunteering, Mike prefers to challenge himself in his leisure activities, taking on some of the most competitive golf courses or tackling the beautiful Rocky Mountain streams with rod and reel in hand. Fortunately, he also knows how to relax and enjoys beautiful morning skies from the cockpit of his vintage airplane.
Working with a bank that is deeply engrained in all aspects of the community that it is located in and that my family lives and is a part of provides the opportunity for me to contribute in a small way to our market's success.
