Tim Struthers

Tim serves as Senior Vice President, Community Banking, and has more than 35 years of demonstrated leadership in banking through multiple cycles and evolution of the business. Tim believes the keystone to success rests in deep and lasting relationships earned across business, community, political, and personal sectors. He is known for his balanced approach to business with a healthy mix of vision, growth, analysis, and regard for tradition.

Credentials

Tim has served in a variety of roles and leadership positions throughout his career at FNBO and in his current capacity leads the Community Banking team across the company. He led the organization in Illinois as president for nearly 20 years and in 2017 transitioned to oversee FNBO’s commercial banking division. He serves on the FNBO Board as well as the board of sister entity, FNTS. Tim holds a bachelor of science in business and a Master’s of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. Tim is an alum of the Graduate School of Banking in Madison Wisconsin.

Passions

Tim declares his passions as “anything and everything outdoors”. When not outdoors, Tim has dedicated time serving on the boards of a host of organizations including Northern Illinois University, DeKalb County Economic Development Corporation, and DeKalb County Community Foundation. Today, Tim is serving as a Trustee of Kishwaukee Water Reclamation District.
