Steve learned banking from his father who dedicated his life to helping small-town businesses gain access to critical financial solutions. As a Vice President of Commercial banking at FNBO, Steve proudly follows in his father’s footsteps, helping commercial clients reach business goals as well as personal financial objectives. He is proud to be a member of the FNBO team, valuing the bank’s customer-first values and integrity.
Steve has a history of helping not only commercial customers in need, but also banks. Prior to joining FNBO in his current role, he assisted financial institutions with troubled loan relationships.
Steve believes strongly in FNBO’s mission, so much so that when he was approached by a recruiter about a role in Regional Commercial Banking, he admitted he was interested, but only on one condition. The position had to be at FNBO Fortunately, for us, it was.
Steve attained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry, as well as a minor in Business Administration from Northwest Missouri State University, and pursued an MBA. He is a graduate of the Banking School at the University of Oklahoma and has been an instructor for various banking classes, including “Omega” cash flow lending, Introduction to Loan Documentation, and General Banking.
Steve’s passions in life are as rich and varied as his banking experience. He enjoys hunting, boating and fishing, but is also interested in World War II model making.
