Steve is Senior Managing Director of Wealth Management, leading our Wealth practices in Illinois, Kansas, Texas, and Lincoln, Nebraska, along with the lending practice for all Wealth Management offices. His teams work with clients and their families to create and protect their legacies, and to deliver customized lending solutions when appropriate. Steve has been with First National Bank of Omaha Wealth Management group since 2009. He began his career at FNBO in 1996 as a Management Trainee followed by 12 years as a commercial lender serving regional, privately-held businesses.
Steve earned his Bachelor’s degree from Marquette University and went on to receive his Master’s of Business Administration degree from Creighton University. He is a Certified Wealth Strategist and graduate of the ABA Commercial Lending School. He also has obtained the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®) designation, a course of study encompassing wealth strategies, equity-based compensation plans, tax reduction strategies and asset protection strategies for high net worth individuals and families.
He also maintains very active engagement with various non-profit organizations as cofounder and board member of Kicks for a Cure, and as board member of Children’s Hospital and Ollie Webb.
Steve believes community service is everyone’s duty and lives by example. He and his wife, Amy, married their passions for community and soccer, starting an organization called Kicks for a Cure, which has raised over $3.5 million for local cancer research. Steve also serves on boards of Ollie Webb and Children’s Hospital and Medical Center, and is a past Board Chair of Habitat for Humanity of Omaha and Completely KIDS. At home or while traveling, Steve can be found supporting local business, in search of the perfect breakfast. To Steve there is no such thing as strangers, just friends he hasn’t met yet.
