Jacob’s career path toward his role as Senior Advisor, Commercial and Agribusiness Banking has been anything but conventional. As a former sixth grade teacher and sports coach, he developed a passion and expertise for helping others early in life. He now transitions the experience he gained encouraging youth to reach complex goals into his position at FNBO, supporting commercial dreams with superior lending solutions.
Jacob graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2011 from Wayne State College. His first professional endeavor was in the classroom, teaching sixth grade and acting as assistant coach for youth sports. He moved to banking in 2015, earning his lending license, before transitioning into his current role at FNBO.
Jacob’s love of sports didn’t end in the classroom. He continues to coach and play basketball today, adding an impressive golf swing to his resume of accomplishments. Jacob is fond of quieter moments as well, spent reading or enjoying time with his nieces and nephews.
His love for helping others hasn’t wavered either. One of his favorite active pastimes is working with his friends to bring in the harvest, and he supports an array of causes as well. Jacob currently assists as the Treasurer for Norfolk Teammates Mentoring.
