Shane Beardslee

Head of National Business Development and Channel Sales, Commercial Payments
Omaha, NE

Shane Beardslee

Shane leads two dynamic teams at FNBO, assisting both commercial customers and partner banks with the development of overarching payment strategies, including everything from creating a solid travel and expense program to fully automating procurement-to-pay solutions. Shane strives to customize payments to the needs of the organization while using innovations in payments technology to drive operational efficiencies, improve working capital positions, and positively impact the bottom line. He is inspired by the opportunity to cooperatively develop strategies with partner banks and businesses that benefit their customers, their industries and ultimately the communities they serve.

Credentials

Shane began his career with FNBO in August 2009 as a Regional Manager for First National Merchant Solutions and has since led teams on both the Merchant Acquiring and Issuing side of the payments business. This experience has allowed him to develop an extremely unique background, making him more effective at consulting and sharing his payments knowledge with the bank’s large commercial customers. Prior to working for FNBO, Shane held sales and mentoring positions at major companies, such as TSYS, Cox Communications, Sprint, Journal Broadcasting and Pappas Telecasting, conducting business in every state throughout North America, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. He is a member of NAPCP and AFP.

Passions

Shane describes himself as a die-hard foodie, so he enjoys cooking for friends and family and visiting the local independent restaurant scene. He also enjoys the outdoors, exploring new locales in any manner that involves “human-powered movement,” including but not limited to biking, running, hiking, kayaking, paddle-boarding, skiing, surfing and swimming. He travels often with his wife and daughters as well as a travel-minded group of friends. Free time for Shane would not be truly fulfilling without community service, so he has served on the board of Project Night Lights and assists organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Memories for Kids.

"At the end of the day, it’s not about banking and payment solutions. It’s about helping our customers activate their full potential, helping them compete stronger, grow faster and be more effective. It’s about helping to create the impact for their customers, industries, and the communities they serve."
