Corporate Banking

Matthew Burke

As a Director of Global Banking for Corporate Treasury Services, Matt helps customers reduce the risks associated with conducting business internationally. He refuses to take a “tried and true” approach. Instead, he works with clients individually to develop a strategy that mitigates risks through a full range of international banking solutions.

Credentials

Matt began his career at First National Bank as a Global Banking trader on the foreign exchange desk.  He has additional experience in credit administration, underwriting credit facilities for Specialty Banking and Commercial Banking teams, as well as in-depth knowledge on international payment terms.  Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance and Banking from the University of Nebraska-Omaha and an MBA from Creighton University. He is a member of the Midwest International Trade Association, is a designated lender for the EXIM Bank of the United States and was a member of the Leadership Nebraska Class XI.

Passions

In his free time, Matt enjoys a varied set of interests, including golf and woodworking. He’s a recognized member of the local music scene and plays regularly in his Irish Pub band known as the Shenanigans.

In addition to the time he spends improving his talents, Matt is a dedicated community supporter. He was a Junior Achievement Instructor for 12  years and currently volunteers for Habitat for Humanity, while also performing the role of treasurer for the North Shore HOA.
