David grew up working on his family farm and helping his friends and neighbors run their agricultural operations. He credits this experience with making him a successful Advisor of Commercial and Agribusiness Banking. David enjoys getting to know his clients and their families and providing the banking solutions they need to turn dreams into reality.
David began his career with First National Bank as an intern while still in college. After graduating, he moved into a position as a loan officer trainee and dedicated himself to learning all that he could from senior lenders. Prior to taking his current role, he spent time as a credit analyst helping to spread financial statements, collateral, and credit analysis. David has a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Banking and Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a member of the Columbus-Area Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee.
David is truly passionate about his work and enjoys personal finance and budgeting. Outside of crunching numbers, he engages in a wide range of activities, including fishing, camping, and grilling. Creating things is another of his pastimes, and he is experienced in carpentry and refurbishing old furniture. David is also an enthusiastic supporter of Nebraska football.
When it comes to community involvement, he loves the state’s agricultural community and is honored to support its future in the state. He is also a member of the Next Generation Kiwanis Club of Columbus where he works to support the organization’s mission to change the world one child and community at a time.
My goal is to help farm producers achieve their goals whether it be retirement or bringing a child home to the family operation. I see myself as a financial advisor to the farmer as I help them make informed decisions on the viability of agriculture enterprises, while getting to know the family.
