Matt Sheets is the Market President, Kansas City & Dallas. In that role, he is responsible for leading the Bank’s collective growth and success in these markets; he specializes in commercial lending activities and represents the Bank in the community. Matt is an enthusiastic proponent of Kansas City and its residents: “It is a community whose citizens believe in giving back for the betterment of the current generation as well as future generations.”
Credentials
Matt joined FNBO in 2012, bringing 15 years of commercial banking experience with him. He earned his B.S. in Pre-Law/Economics from Michigan State University and holds a J.D. and M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.
Matt is directly involved with activities primarily centered around Kansas City’s economic growth and high-quality education.
He is currently the Chairman of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce’s EDC; the Vice Chairman of St. Luke’s South Hospital Board of Directors; Board Member of KCADC; and a member of the Greater Kansas City Civic Council. Past community service includes being a six-year Board Member of the Blue Valley Education Foundation (remains on the Finance Committee non-Board). He is active in the Kansas City ACG (Alliance for Corporate Growth) since arriving in KC in 2010, and an annual Sponsor of the CCIM Kansas City Chapter since 2012.
Passions
Matt values spending time with his family, traveling with them to various U.S. destinations and engaging in outdoor activities.
