Mark Schafer

Mark is a Financial Advisor with more than 17 years of experience specializing in financial planning and investment services. He loves the ease of living in a small town with the vast capabilities of FNBO and Raymond James taking care of Client Advisory Group (CAG) clients throughout the Country. He enjoys serving customers and works with individuals and businesses to meet their financial goals through advice and guidance and monitoring investment plans. He really enjoys running illustrations and exploring options for clients so they understand what’s in their portfolio. He likes to say “Know what you own and know why you own it.”

Mark joined First Investments & Planning in 2019, following 14 years of building client relationships in the wealth management field. Holding Series 7, 9/10, and 66 registrations as well as Nebraska Insurance licenses that allows him to service his clients’ needs.

Passions

Mark enjoys building golf clubs in his shop, NHL Stanley Cup Playoff hockey, playing golf with his wife Jo and watching the sunrise over his duck pond with friends during the season. Mark and Jo enjoy spending time with their daughter, son-in-law, three granddaughters and three dogs.

Mark enjoys giving back to his community and currently serves on the board of the local Salvation Army and supports their vital mission. Mark served as past chairman of North Platte Ducks Unlimited and on the boards of the Chamber of Commerce, North Platte Outdoor Expo and Maranatha Bible Camp Foundation.
