FNBO Plans New Location in Lincoln’s Haymarket

OMAHA, Neb. October 8, 2020—First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) plans to build its newest location at 601 R Street, in the Canopy Lofts building in Lincoln’s West Haymarket District, announced Sean Baker, executive vice president, Individual Customer Segment.

“We’re committed to the Lincoln community in all areas of our business and saw this as a great opportunity to locate a combined banking and insurance services center in a key area of development for the city,” Baker said.

FNBO’s space on the first floor will include a Retail branch, along with offices for its Commercial Banking and Wealth divisions, Mortgage, and its insurance affiliate Harry A. Koch.  The branch will have a remote drive-thru teller, accessible from the adjacent alley.  FNBO will occupy approximately 7,000 square feet of the leased space at Canopy Lofts.

Baker said FNBO currently has three retail branches and one drive-thru only location in the Lincoln area.  The bank operates a total of 96 retail branch locations across its seven-state service area.

“FNBO is dedicated to continuing to build our commercial banking presence in Lincoln, as well, and we believe locating in the Haymarket area will certainly energize that effort,” said David Cota, executive vice president, Business Customer Segment.

Baker said the new location is slated to open early next year.
