Janet Nelson

As a Director, Commercial Payments Advisor, Janet supports customers in maintaining strong liquidity through optimized payables and receivables processes. She employs her expertise in commercial banking to improve bottom line results, by identifying opportunities to maximize efficiencies, streamline workflows and prevent fraud. Strong outcomes are consistently generated thanks to her partnership approach to customer business and her willingness to learn the ins and outs of each and every client operation.

Credentials

Janet started her career with FNBO in 1994 as a teller. Over her 25 years in the commercial banking space, she has taken on a wide range of roles in support of banking customers, including Relationship Manager, Senior Advisor, Director in Business Banking, Commercial Lending, and Commercial Credit Card. It was through key customer-facing positions supporting commercial clients  that she discovered a passion for working with businesses and helping companies of all sizes to achieve their goals and objectives.

Janet is a member of the Nebraska Association of Financial Professionals, Institute of Commercial Payments, Millard Business Association and is a treasurer and board member for the Millard Business Community Foundation.

Passions

At home, Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends, particularly if she can convince them to join her on her many travel journeys, trips to the mountains, or to participate in water activities. She is also an avid Husker fan and is committed to supporting her community. Janet serves as the Board Director & Treasurer for the Millard Business Community Foundation (MBCF), as a Member/Volunteer for MBCF Project Wee Care Committee, is a Chairperson of the MBCF Scholarship Committee and serves on the Millard Business Association Annual Awards Celebration Committee.
