Troy is a Financial Advisor with First Investments & Planning, focused on helping clients translate complex financial decisions into clear, actionable strategies. Credentials

Troy brings nearly two decades of experience in financial services, with a strong foundation in comprehensive financial planning, investment strategy, and client relationship management. Over the course of his career, he has worked with a broad range of clients to help them navigate complex financial decisions and implement strategies aligned with their long-term objectives.

Troy holds Series 7, 66, and 24 licenses, as well as Iowa and Nebraska Life and Health Insurance licenses. He attended the Colorado School of Mines, where he studied Chemical Engineering.

Passions

Troy is a long-time resident of Council Bluffs, Iowa. Outside of his work with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying actively involved in his community. Much of his time is spent supporting his four children's sporting, performing arts, and robotics activities.

He has served on several boards in the Omaha and Council Bluffs area, including leadership roles in local community revitalization efforts in Benson. During his 12-year tenure on the Council Bluffs School Board, he and his wife, Christy, helped identify a need for STEM-focused programming in local schools. This led them to co-found a nonprofit that introduced VEX Robotics into Council Bluffs middle schools, later expanding into elementary programs. The organization recently celebrated its 10-year anniversary.
