FDIC-Insured - Backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. Government
Temple Abney is a Senior Director of Food & Agribusiness Banking at FNBO, working closely with food and agribusiness clients across the bank's footprint to understand their unique financial needs and connect them with the right banking solutions. Temple serves as a trusted advisor to clients ranging from family farming operations to large-scale commercial agribusinesses helping them access the capital, credit, and financial tools needed to grow their operations, manage cash flow, and plan for long-term success. His work is centered on removing the financial complexities that too often stand between agricultural businesses and the outcomes their owners are working toward. Temple brings both deep banking expertise and a genuine understanding of the agricultural industry to every client relationship, offering practical, tailored solutions rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Credentials
Temple brings nearly 30 years of banking experience to his role at FNBO, with a career that began in 1997 and has been concentrated in food and agribusiness banking throughout. His expertise spans the full range of financial needs common to commodity-driven, cyclical businesses — including seasonal cash flow management, operating lines of credit, equipment and land financing, and long-term growth planning in an ever-changing market. That breadth of experience allows Temple to meet clients where they are, whether they are navigating a difficult season or positioning for significant expansion. He holds a BS in Agricultural Economics from Texas Tech University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School, where he earned an Executive Leadership Certificate through the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington. Temple is an active member of the Colorado Livestock Association and the Texas Cattle Feeders Association.
Passions
Temple is deeply connected to the communities he serves and the industry he has dedicated his career to. Outside of work, his greatest joy is time spent with his family — including coaching his son's youth sports teams, a role that reflects the same commitment and investment he brings to his clients. He also enjoys traveling, staying active, and skiing, pursuits that keep him grounded and energized. That sense of connection — to family, to community, and to the land — is at the heart of everything he does.
