Barry Benson

Raised in Newman Grove, Nebraska, Barry Benson was an active member on his family’s farm, raising cattle, pigs, corn, and soybeans.  Barry received his Animal Science bachelor’s degree and an Agribusiness minor from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln in 1997 and has been with FNBO since November of 1999 when he was hired as a Commercial Lender/Business Banker.

Credentials

Prior joining the Corporate Agribusiness Banking team, Benson served as the Fremont Market President, focusing on growing the bank through ag and commercial loans and deposits, as well as serving the banking needs of the community and surrounding area.

Benson serves as a board member for the Fremont YMCA (past president), the Greater Fremont Development Council (past president), Fremont Rotary Club (past president), and Fremont Area Community Foundation.  Barry is a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fremont where he serves on the Endowment Board.

Passions

Barry and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Fremont with their three children.  Jennifer is also employed by FNBO as Vice President in Wealth Management. Barry’s hobbies include attending his children’s activities, managing his cow/calf and farming operation, and Husker sports.
