Sara Going

As a Senior Advisor of Community Banking, Sara has a passion for serving the community. She works with businesses of varying sizes, particularly those in the non-profit sector, to drive change and support local growth.

Credentials

For nearly five years, Sara worked in Community Development and Corporate Philanthropy at FNBO before taking her current position. Previous experience also includes roles in the non-profit sector in federal advocacy, program development and strategic initiatives. Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts from Creighton University, as well as a Juris Doctor from Creighton University School of Law, and received the 40 Under 40 Award from the Corridor Business Journal in Cedar Rapids.

Passions

While Sara’s time at work is spent serving the needs of others, her personal pursuits often follow the same track. She serves on the board of directors for the New Visions Homeless Shelter and EPIC, an organization dedicated to inspiring confidence for girls. She can also be found volunteering with the United Way Community Investment Review Team, Junior Achievement, RISE, Boys and Girls Clubs Millard Advisory Committee and many others.

However, when Sara isn’t serving her community, she can be found cheering on her children as they pursue their passions for sports. When seeking downtime, Sara heads outdoors or looks for a new travel expedition.

"I enjoy helping clients address their financial needs, so they can focus on what they do best."
