For Joel, commercial real estate is about more than “bricks and sticks”. It’s about building community. As Vice President of Commercial Real Estate, he helps investors and developers throughout the Midwest acquire and develop retail, office, multi-family, industrial and mixed-use properties. Joel is pleased to play a role in creating the spaces where people live, work and play.

Credentials

Joel began his career at First National Bank in November 1992 as a management trainee shortly before earning his Master of Business Administration degree from University of Nebraska at Omaha. Joel has twenty-five years of experience in commercial real estate lending. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with degrees in Banking, Finance and Economics.

Passions

At home, Joel splits his time between service on Christ Community Church’s Stewardship team and active water sports with friends and family. Lake Okoboji and Lake of the Ozarks are two of his favorite spots. Joel also enjoys traveling, particularly to the mountains, and visiting national parks. His dream is to one day travel to Europe with his wife.
