Hunter is a Senior Advisor in Community Banking at FNBO, leveraging his unique combination of agricultural heritage and commercial lending expertise to help business owners and agricultural producers achieve their financial goals. His work focuses on matching clients with the right financial products and solutions while offering strategic guidance that enables businesses and farming operations to thrive. Hunter's approach combines practical financial acumen with genuine understanding of the challenges facing commercial enterprises and agricultural operations, ensuring each client receives tailored solutions that truly fit their specific needs.


Credentials

Hunter's banking career includes six years of agricultural and commercial lending experience across financial institutions in Yankton, South Dakota, and Ainsworth, Nebraska. His background uniquely positions him to understand both sides of the table - having grown up on a large cow-calf operation in a rural agricultural community, he brings firsthand knowledge of agricultural operations alongside his formal commercial lending expertise. Prior to his banking career, Hunter worked in public accounting, developing a strong foundation for analyzing and understanding financial statements that proves invaluable in structuring financing solutions. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in accounting from Mount Marty College, building his professional capabilities through progressive banking roles and real-world agricultural experience.


Passions

For Hunter, life centers on family, sports, and the outdoors. When he’s not cheering on the Huskers, Steelers, or Pirates, he's passionate about youth development and dedicates time to coaching multiple youth sports teams in his community. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Hunter can be found archery hunting, fishing, camping, and playing amateur baseball during summer months - always seeking opportunities to enjoy nature with his family. He also dedicates his time to local organizations and other volunteer opportunities within Yankton and the surrounding communities.
