Chad Tettenborn is a Director of Commercial Banking at FNBO, specializing in commercial real estate lending throughout the Omaha, Lincoln, and surrounding markets. With more than 20 years of experience in banking and finance, Chad partners with investors, developers, and business owners to finance projects that strengthen local communities and support long-term economic growth. He provides strategic guidance and customized financing solutions for commercial property acquisitions, new developments, and renovation projects, helping clients confidently navigate complex lending decisions. Known for his collaborative approach, Chad works closely with customers to evaluate opportunities, balance risk and return, and identify financing strategies that support their investment goals while creating lasting value.
Credentials
Chad has built a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in commercial banking and finance. He began his career at FNBO as a Commercial Relationship Manager focused on Treasury Management, where he spent six years helping businesses optimize their financial operations. He later expanded his commercial real estate expertise through leadership roles at Mutual of Omaha Bank and West Gate Bank, spending a combined 15 years structuring and managing commercial real estate lending relationships before returning to FNBO. Throughout his career, Chad has specialized in financing a wide range of commercial properties, including multifamily housing, office buildings, retail centers, industrial facilities, hotels, and medical offices. He earned a bachelor's degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University and later completed his MBA with a concentration in Finance from Creighton University.
Passions
Chad is deeply committed to supporting the growth and development of the Omaha community. He serves on the Omaha Municipal Land Bank Board and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, contributing his expertise to initiatives that promote responsible community development and neighborhood revitalization. He is also actively involved with Saint Margaret Mary Church and School, where he volunteers, advises, and serves on the Athletics Committee. Chad previously served on the Board of Directors for Kids Can Community Center and continues to support the organization as a member of its Finance Committee. Outside of work, Chad enjoys coaching youth sports, cheering on his favorite teams, and traveling with his family whenever possible. As the father of four children, he stays busy balancing family life with his passion for community involvement and helping shape places where people can live, work, and thrive.
